Groundbreaking for new build-to-rent homes
A groundbreaking event was held on 24 January to celebrate the start of works on 373 build-to-rent homes at Eddington.
Apache Capital with Nuveen are behind the investment of the single-family build-to-rent housing at Eddington that will be developed and operated by Present Made.
The 373 new residences will include a range of amenities and shared spaces, including a communal pavilion, yoga studio, private dining room, bike café, games room, and co-working space. All of which provides an attractive and flexible choice for residents.
Matt Johnson, Head of Development at University of Cambridge commented: “The University’s investment in placemaking is evident in our principles: every-day convenience, beautiful surroundings, greener living and community connectivity are how Eddington is re-defining urban quality of life. Our achievements are not by chance but by design. The University has successfully launched the first phase, and we are committed to building upon this success.
“Working alongside our development partners, we aim to continue expanding and enhancing the Eddington lifestyle experience. We are thrilled with the designs for the unique build-to-rent housing model by Present Made. It offers residents a fantastic choice in the Cambridge rental market and addresses a specific under-served need in the city that complements the overall proposition of Eddington while supporting the Cambridge eco-system.”
