foodPark will be arriving at Eddington’s Market Square from 1 July.
Some of Cambridge’s finest independent street food traders will be opening their hatches and serving great food to the local community on Wednesday evenings and Saturday lunchtimes for the summer months.
foodPark traders will be open at Eddington on Wednesday evenings from 5pm-8pm and Saturday lunchtimes from 12pm-2pm from 1 July 2020. Appropriate social distancing measures will be in place.
foodPark will be operating with measures in place to encourage social distancing including contactless payment, contactless food collection, online ordering system, hand sanitiser at vans, distance markers, as well as extended serving hours.
- Wednesday 30 September – Steak & Honour (5-8pm)
Pre-order available. Steak & Honour serve proper burgers & fries from distinctive Citroen H vans. They use only the best local suppliers and local artisanal brioche buns.
- Wednesday 30 September – Road Dogs (5-8pm)
Pre-order available. Road Dogs serve a variety of American style hotdogs topped with fries from ‘The Big Rig’. These hotdogs are handmade 100% British pork franks, wrapped in a freshly steamed bun and topped with various American inspired toppings. Road Dogs also offer a variety of twice-cooked skin-on fries to choose from.
- Saturday 3 October – Pimp My Fish (12-2pm)
Pre-order available. Pimp my Fish is no ordinary fish and chip van. Customers can chose to eat their Fish & Chips just as nature intended with salt and vinegar, or pimped up with their homemade sauces to give a creative twist to a British classic.
- Saturday 3 October – Guerrilla Kitchen (12-2pm)
Pre-order available. Run by an award-winning chef, Guerrilla Kitchen serves Asian style steamed Gau Bao. Each Bao is hand-made and steamed to order and filled with locally sourced fresh ingredients. Choose meat, vegetarian or vegan Bao with a seasonal side dish.
- Saturday 3 October – Churros Bar (12-2pm)
No pre-order available. Churro is a delicious Spanish sweet treat. This fried-dough pastry with a light and fluffy centre are satisfyingly crunchy on the outside. The Churros Bar serves each of their Churro with a choice of dips including home-made salted-caramel sauce, strawberry jam or Nutella.
- Saturday 3 October – VG Coffee (10.30am-2pm)
No pre-order available. ‘Plant & Pedal Powered’. The coffee tricycle is a highly innovative and ultra-low carbon pedal-powered bike that requires no electricity. The beans for each cup of coffee are freshly ground to order by pedal-power.
