Angela Barnes
After a career in health and social care, Angela Barnes took the plunge and embarked on her life-long dream to be a comedian. Within just a couple of years she had won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2011 and has now gone on to star in BBC Two’s Mock The Week, Live At The Apollo and Hypothetical on Dave.
As well as becoming a regular on BBC Radio 4 having featured on The Now Show and The News Quiz, Angela took on the role of host on BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack in 2017. Angela’s hit series You Can’t Take It With You returned for a second series in 2019 in the coveted 6:30 pm comedy slot on BBC Radio 4.
Jane Hill
Jane has been doing stand-up comedy since 2005, performing all around the country. She reached the final of English Comedian of the Year in 2009. “The audience enjoyed her so much they almost forgot to drink their pints!” – One4Review
El Baldinhio
El Baldiniho is a magician and prop comedian performing on TV, in comedy clubs, at festivals and at corporate events across the UK and beyond. Recently seen on Britain’s Got Talent (where he got 4 yeses) he can also be seen headlining family friendly comedy events at The Comedy Store, Up The Creek, and The Frog and Bucket.
Rob Coleman
Our MC for the evening is the incomparable Rob Coleman, who has made what he laughingly calls a career out of being grumpy. And amazing hair. Bedfordshire News described him as “very strong and extremely funny; a naturally funny man”.
