The Astronomer opens

Cambscuisine, a highly successful award-winning restaurant and pub chain in Cambridgeshire, has opened a new bar and brasserie in Eddington. The Astronomer opened this month in the grounds of the Hyatt Centric Cambridge / Turing Locke hotel in Eddington.

The Astronomer, which takes its naming inspiration from our neighbourhood Eddington who was an eminent Cambridge alumnus and astrophysicist, offers a highly focused menu that reflects the seasons. Expect punchy, flavoursome dishes and elevated seasonal offerings, snacks, sides and ever-changing seasonal puddings that complete the menu.

Local and regional beers, cask ales and classic cocktails play a part of the drinks menu, alongside a wine list that supports independent growers.

Oliver Thain of Cambscuisine commented: “Cambscuisine is very excited about bringing our hospitality to Eddington in a terrific space within the Hyatt and Locke hotels. The Astronomer is a bar and restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, and open seven days a week. The menu will be focussed and highly seasonal. We are open on Thursday 12th October and are taking bookings now. We can’t wait to welcome you.”
