Storey's Field Centre double win at AJ Architecture Awards 2018

The Storey’s Field Centre and Eddington Nursery won two titles at the AJ Architecture Awards 2018.

Eddington’s community and performing arts centre won the biggest prize of the night, the Design of the Year, and was described as a “perfect balance of social and environmental sustainability”.

The MUMA-designed building, which was shortlisted for this year’s RIBA Stirling Prize, was also named the Community & Faith Project of the Year at the AJ Architecture Awards.

Last month, the centre also triumphed at two construction awards ceremonies this month: the Brick Awards 2018 and the Wood Awards 2018.

The building won four titles – in the public and outdoor space categories, plus specialist brickwork contractor for Anglian Brickwork Ltd and supreme winner overall – at the Brick Awards and a further two – the commercial and leisure category plus the Gold winner overall – at the Wood Awards.
