Padel comes to Cambridge West
The University of Cambridge Sports Centre at Cambridge West has opened two new padel courts which are available for community use.
Padel is a blend of tennis and squash, played within a glass arena. Originating in Aculpalco, Mexico, in 1969, padel has grown into a global sport with over twenty-five million players. Its rapid growth is testament to the fun and inclusive nature of the game! Whether you’re new to racket sports or highly experienced, everyone has a great time from the moment they step on court.
New to padel?
No problem. Join our “Introduction to Padel” session to learn the basics and start your padel journey for just £5 per person (free for Cambridge Sport members) including rackets and balls.
Book a court with Friends and Family
Booking is easy – just check the availability on the App, reserve a court, and enjoy the game! Downloading the App is easy, just search “Cam Uni Sport’ in your App store.
Looking to play with others?
We are more than just a sports service; we are building a community of padel players. Our professional coaching team is dedicated to improving your game. We organise group match-play sessions and introduce you to other padel enthusiasts.
How to book?
All bookings can be made via the Cambridge Uni Sports App. Racket hire is included in the court fee and balls are available to purchase at Reception. Our friendly Sports Service team are always on hand to explain the rules and help you start, just ask at Reception.
