La Pizzica brings a taste of Italy to Eddington Square

Local family business La Pizzica – which opened in November 2024 – is a welcome addition to the vibrant Eddington community.
Bringing over 20 years of hospitality experience and Italian passion, La Pizzica offers a chance to experience authentic Italian food in the heart of Eddington.

This autumn, a new family business opened its doors in Eddington Square. La Pizzica brings an authentic taste of Italy with traditional Neapolitan pizzas, aperitivos, and a selection of desserts for the local community to enjoy both in their restaurant and at home.

La Pizzica is brought to you by the Valentes, a family originally from Diamante – a small town in the south of Italy which will now be truly embedded in the local area along with their four young children. Authentically Italian, La Pizzica has been named after a southern Italian folk dance, also known as Tarantella, which traditionally celebrates community.

Owner and pizzaiolo Marco Valente said: “It’s been incredible to see Eddington evolve over the last few years and the community really come to life. The values we hold at La Pizzica around community and sustainability truly make Eddington the perfect location for me and my family. We are so excited to get going, Andiamo Eddington!”

Opening Party to Celebrate with the Community

La Pizzica officially opened its doors on Saturday 16th November, following a community party on Friday 15 November with traditional Italian entertainment celebrating the culture and spirit of La Pizzica.
