Independent health food store, Harvest, to open in Eddington

Local entrepreneur, Tuncay Cicek, has opened a second store of his business, Green Nest, in Cambridge. The health foods, natural products and eco-friendly store aligns with the sustainability philosophy of the Eddington neighbourhood and opened in November 2024.

Owner, Tuncay commented: “We are passionate about the health for our communities and the planet, and our shop helps residents to choose natural, organic and sustainable products. We strive to act sustainably and ethically with products sourced locally and from suppliers who share our core values.”

Green Nest’s success at their maiden store on Mill Road (formerly known as Harvest) has seen them establish a thriving business in the city. The shop already has a strong client base in Eddington which began during the pandemic via home deliveries when the nation faced restrictions on every-day life. Well-established amongst some customers in the neighbourhood, Tuncay and his team are looking forward to embedding their business into Eddington.

Matt Johnson, Head of Development for North West Cambridge at the University of Cambridge commented: “Our continued commitment to supporting local businesses to grow and be part of the Eddington community is evident with Harvest taking a retail space at Eddington. Their sustainability and organic products offers a choice to local residents and we wish them every success.”

Eddington Square offers opportunities for independent retailers to grow their businesses and shape the community. For more information, email us info@eddington-cambridge.co.uk
