foodPark opens at Eddington

foodPark will be arriving at Eddington’s Market Square from 1 July.

Some of Cambridge’s finest independent street food traders will be opening their hatches and serving great food to the local community on Wednesday evenings and Saturday lunchtimes for the summer months.

Rebecca Chong, owner of foodPark said: “foodPark is delighted to be coming back to Eddington. foodPark is a collective of top quality Cambridge based street food traders who place an emphasis on high quality and carefully sourced ingredients. All of the food is freshly prepared and cooked to order for each customer. We are starting with a limited number of food trucks and we are looking forward to the residents of Eddington and the surrounding area enjoying a variety of street food on Wednesday evenings and Saturday lunchtimes.”

A range of Cambridge’s favourite food traders will be serving on rotation at Eddington including Steak & Honour, Pimp my Fish, Guerilla Kitchen, The Wandering Yak, Road Dogs, Buffalo Joe’s, Pizza Mondo, Azahar, Churros Bar and Jack’s Gelato. Evening sessions will have one food van and lunchtimes will have two food vans (which will include a desert option).  Appropriate social distancing measures will be in place.

Warren Forsyth, Operations Director of Eddington said: “Supporting local independent businesses is important to Eddington.  We are delighted to welcome back foodPark to Eddington’s Market Square where we hope residents and the wider community will be encouraged to taste flavours from some of the finest street food vendors that the City has to offer.”

foodPark will be operating with measures in place to encourage social distancing including contactless payment, contactless food collection, online ordering system, hand sanitiser at vans, distance markers, as well as extended serving hours.

foodPark traders will be open at Eddington on Wednesday evenings from 5pm-8pm and Saturday lunchtimes from 11.30am-2.30pm from 1 July 2020.
