Family cycling shop to open in Eddington

Outspoken Cycles will open a new family cycling shop in Eddington Square on Saturday 19 October. Sustainable travel such as cycling is at the heart of Eddington’s vision and the bike shop will serve the community while promoting an active lifestyle.

Robert Hampton, General Manager for Outspoken Cycles, said: “We’re excited to open a new shop in Eddington. Outspoken Cycles at Eddington will provide a range of services and products to meet the needs of the local cycling community:

Bike repair and servicing: Expert mechanics will be on hand for repairs and routine maintenance, ensuring local cyclists can ride safely and smoothly.
Bike sales: A variety of bikes for all ages and abilities, including Frog Bikes for children, cargo bikes for families, hybrids, entry-level road bikes, and a selection of preloved bikes.
Accessories and essentials: A full range of cycling accessories including locks, lights, helmets, and clothing, to keep riders equipped and safe.
Dr Bike sessions: The popular fortnightly Saturday Dr Bike sessions, offering free bike health checks for Eddington residents, will continue with booking available via Eventbrite.

Sustainability is embedded in the design of Eddington and a cycle shop in Eddington Square will help to further promote cycling for families, commuters and enthusiasts alike while supporting an active lifestyle and low-carbon living in the neighbourhood.”

Since 2012, Outspoken Cycles has been Cambridge’s go-to specialist for cargo bikes alongside electric bikes, trikes, tandems, and children’s bikes, all from their shop in Milton. Outspoken Cycles has grown from a small repair service into one of Cambridge’s leading cycling businesses. It has expertise in bike maintenance, fleet servicing, and E-cargo bikes and are proud to provide unique pedal-powered activities for events, while collaborating with local councils, schools, and businesses to make cycling fun, healthy, and sustainable.

Outspoken Cycles will open their shop in Eddington on Saturday 19 October at 8.30am. The first 75 people through the doors will receive a free gift.

Outspoken Cycles will be open 6 days a week Monday – Friday from 8.30am – 5pm and 9:30am – 4:30am Saturdays.
