Eddington hosts festive market for the people of Cambridge

An outdoor festive market experience is set to pop up at Eddington Square this month!

On 24-26 November 2023, the heart of the town will come alive with festive alpine huts offering a wealth of handmade treasures from local, independent craft traders selling items such as candles, pottery, unique gifts, artisan delicacies – and even jewellery inspired by science!

Visitors will have the opportunity to start their seasonal celebrations in style as they enjoy mulled wine and a host of other drinks served from a traditional bus, and warming food in the shape of Yorkshire pudding wraps, German sausages, wood-fired pizzas and more!

With festive entertainment including live music from CSD Brass, Ellie Walker and more to be announced, a visit from Santasaurus on Saturday 25th November from midday-3pm, and two curling rinks (£10 for a 30-minute group session) – this event provides an excellent opportunity to socialise with friends, family and the local community too.

For the keen crafters who want to get involved and create their own gifts, workshops will be held throughout the weekend at the range of community facilities nearby. These are bookable in advance with a fee to attend and include wreath creation, table centrepieces, soap making, and a macrame hanging baskets workshop.

See the latest announcements of highlights and stallholders on the Eddington Events instagram feed.

The Eddington Festive Market will be open on Friday 24 November 4pm – 9pm, Saturday 25 November 10am – 9pm and Sunday 26 November 10am – 6pm. Entry is free (excludes workshops) but guests are encouraged to register in advance so that the organisers and stallholders can provide the best experience possible.

Visitors can also enjoy extra magic at the Knights Park Festive Market on Saturday 25 November from 12pm-4pm at Turing Locke and Hyatt Centric Hotel, Eddington.
