Eddington Carnival highlights
The inaugural Eddington Carnival took place at the Eddington Cricket Pitch on 13 and 14 September welcoming approximately 3000 visitors to the two-day celebration of our multi-cultural community.
The Carnival provided a platform for local residents, businesses, charities and community groups to come together in the neighbourhood, creating a welcoming and vibrant pop-up space for all.

Live entertainment on The Knights Park by the Hill Group stage featured local acts and community groups including the Buckleton Belly Dance School, the Sanskruti Cambridge Indian dance group, as well as music from Cores Do Samba bringing Brazilian melodies who got everyone dancing, Mr Griff, a Cambridge based funk group.
Local resident participation came from a private chef providing pasta-making workshops, a hobbyist hosting a camera obscura, and the Eddington Community Orchestra rounding off the weekend with a beautiful concert at Storey’s Field Centre.
Family activities included a funfair, community sand pit, LEGO stall, kite-making, and a football kick-zone alongside the Cambridge Pentacle Magic club who kept everyone enthralled.
