Brilliant Minds at Eddington: Dr Pingfan Song

This month’s blog article features the brilliant mind programming the next generation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems to revolutionise medical imaging in healthcare.

Dr Pingfan Song is a senior research associate at the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge. His research is concerned with advanced deep learning techniques for AI in order to improve speed and accuracy, interpretability, and trustworthiness of diagnostic tools in healthcare.

Pingfan moved to Eddington in November 2020 and since then has found it a lovely neighbourhood for his family to thrive in, while providing the perfect base for postdoctoral work in Cambridge.
