Spring and Summer events at Eddington

Eddington is pleased to announce a range of events and initiatives which support community development and placemaking in Eddington. Inclusive and free to attend, our aims are to ensure that Eddington is a vibrant and lively neighbourhood, making it easy for residents, neighbours and local people to meet and connect.

This month, we’ve announced the following events which we hope many in the community will enjoy!

Sports in the Square A monthly pop-up brought to you by the University Sports Service. Starting on 11 April, come along to Eddington Square for the first event which will be Pickleball! Subsequent months will have a rotation of racquet, ball and other games. No booking required.

Park Yoga A free weekly outdoor yoga session on Sunday mornings from 9.30am-10.30am. Starting 3rd May, the return of Park Yoga will be at a new location, Storey’s Field. No booking required – please bring a yoga mat and water to hydrate.

Eddington Beer Garden Our flagship event returns from 8-10 May in Eddington Square. Enjoy live entertainment, local brew and delicious street food at this vibrant and lively pop-up event.

Ecology Tours Free walking tour with Mike Dean, Project Ecologist, on 1 June who will explain key features in the built and natural environment that support biodiversity and local wildlife. A highly popular event – early booking advised.

Eddington Carnival Our celebration of our multi-cultural community returns in 17-18 July. We are currently open to applications from community groups, activities, entertainers, food traders, and stallholders. Please complete this short form to apply.

We hope these events sound interesting and complement the range of different activities going on at Storey’s Field Centre and other venues and areas at Eddington. If you have ideas for future events you would like to see, please email us – we’d love to hear your ideas.
