Opportunities for Board members and Directors

The West and North West Cambridge Developments are ground-breaking initiatives to support the long-term growth of the University, providing over 3000 homes as an extension to the city of Cambridge.

The University is seeking members for the Board to oversee the continuing development and successful operation of this major project and the new community it creates. Opportunities also exist to serve on the subsidiary companies that will manage the estate (Portal Estates Management Ltd), the energy network (Core Sustainable Heat Management Ltd) and the accommodation rental services (Lodge Property Services Ltd).

The University is seeking people with demonstrable success in providing guidance and leadership; strong commercial and business acumen; and the ability to understand complex strategic issues and analyse difficult problems. Expertise is particularly sought in the fields of commercial real estate, property development, commercial delivery models and estate and utility management.

These are fixed term, part-time roles of between 15 and 20 days a year, offering expenses and remuneration.
